Disciplinary, grievance & ACAS code

On 6 April 2009, a new ACAS code on discipline and grievance has been published. It sets out best practice for employers in handling disciplinary and grievance issues at work.

If you are considering raising a grievance at work, you should follow your employer’s grievance procedure which should be in-line with the Acas Code of Practice. If you are the subject of disciplinary proceedings, both you and your employer must follow the Company’s disciplinary procedure which must also be compliant with the ACAS Code.

Work related problems are always stressful and we can assist you with writing grievances, responding to disciplinary action and preparing for any internal meetings. We can also guide you through the requirements of the ACAS code and how it impacts on your employer.
