, the international business law firm has today announced the launch of BBMR, a specialist social housing litigation boutique.

Based in London and St Albans, BBMR is headed up by Simon Braun and Angela Byrne, both of whom are recognized leaders in social housing litigation, and who have particular expertise representing local authorities and housing associations in complex litigation including anti-social behaviour, homelessness and possession cases. The team undertakes all forms of social housing dispute and advises on statutory and regulatory requirements, court rules as well as internal policies and procedures.

Simon Braun and Angela Byrne join BBMR from Perrins Solicitors LLP where they were joint heads of the Social Housing Litigation team, and both are recognised as “leaders in their fields” by Chambers and Partners UK legal directory.

Angela Byrne is a criminal lawyer by background and is recognised as a leading authority on anti-social tenant litigation having lectured on ASBOs to the Metropolitan Police. She is a committee member of the Social Housing Law Association and very involved with Women in Social Housing.

Simon Braun specialises in complex cases involving homelessness and anti social behaviour. He is an accredited CEDR Commercial Mediator and is a Solicitor Advocate so can appear in the Court of Appeal. Simon has contributed to specialist housing publications and has lectured to the Police on anti-social issues. He is a member of the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates and the Solicitors Housing Law Association.
